Water Fuel
Water that could be used as fuel has been the dream of everyone. The rising cost of fuel and its scarcity has made scientists and professionals looking for alternatives. For years, the idea of converting water into energy has been entertained by scientists
–for a good reason. Water is composed of two elements, hydrogen and oxygen. Oxygen is important to man and animals because it is a requirement for breathing. On the other hand, hydrogen could be used in aiding fuel. Hydrogen could be converted into a gaseous state and the heat could be used to power machines and engines that require fuel.
The process of electrolysis could easy separate hydrogen from oxygen. Most processes today that uses electrolysis as part of their process still needs fuel since water fuel through electrolysis are only used as aid in increasing combustion. For example, cars use hydrogen gas generators with the use of water. In this case, hydrogen is extracted through electrolysis and converted to become a gaseous state. Its presence in fuel increase combustion which means cars will be more fuel efficient because less fuel was used with the aid of hydrogen. Water fuel may be coming but for now, water fuel is mainly used as a complement to our fuel to increase fuel efficiency.
